LATEST SINGLE

If I COULD

The Vietnam-born artist, who was adopted to America at six months old, has melodically extended her mental health advocacy in her latest single If I Could, which soulfully shares some of the sonic proclivities with Taylor Swift’s country pop records as Corey strides into her own with her compassionately compelling vocal and lyrical lines, which allude to the immense crushing gravity of loss.

“The World doesn’t get better, you just do…”

Amy Takes Part in Saigon Children Mid-Autumn Scholarship Event in Dong Nai Province

& attends opening of Hieu Tu C School in Tra Ving Province

When I was invited to experience opening a school in Trà Vinh Province in the Mekong Delta for the Khmer children, I was not told that after I sang them a few verses of ‘somewhere over the rainbow’, the kids would accept me to a point where they wanted autographs , find things to give me as gifts like their shells they used in their performance, their hair scrunchies that they braided in my hair, and me end up crying my eyes out when they didn’t want me to leave… I didn’t want too…

I had to blur their faces for their protection but I want to bring awareness & education to you. The Khmer are one of the oldest indigenous ethnic minority from Cambodia that have settled mostly here in the South in the Mekong Delta. These schools are being built for not only their education and to learn Vietnamese but to allow them to step into a world of choices, and continuing to grow up in World they create for themselves…🙏🏽 It is amazing how we are bringing education to these kids, but the education they brought to my soul and my life I can’t express my unconditional love for them for that… I am so grateful to have worked with @saigonchildren on this trip & how much it’s fufilled my soul being a part of their vision.

Accidentally (not surprising) fell in love with the children on Đồng Nai province. especially a little girl who reminded me a lot of myself in school staying fierce (she was fiercer) against bullies. I got her a lucky bunny to give to her cause we all deserve not only luck in our lives and education but continuing teaching, guiding and showing understanding, love and support, especially children and the next generation.
Very grateful to be a part of this trip! Cảm ơn!
